Visiting a Patient

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is dedicated to ensuring that all of our patients receive safe, collaborative and quality care.

Equally important to us is ensuring that our visitors feel welcome and comfortable when arriving. You may want to learn more about the services available to you as well as general hospital information prior to visiting.

Arriving at the Hospital

Please Stop and Screen before Entering the Hospital

As part of our Infection Prevention and Control precautions, we ask you not to visit the hospital if you are feeling unwell.

Please use the hand sanitizers upon arrival (dispensers can be found at all hospital entrances and throughout the hallways).

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is fully wheelchair accessible.

Please use the main entrance.

Gift Shop

The Groves Hospital Volunteer Association Gift Shop is located just inside the main hospital door.

Due to COVID-19 the gift shop is closed.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual care can be made available to visitors of a patient.

Please speak with a member of the patient’s health care team who will arrange this service.

Flowers and Balloons

We do not permit latex balloons in the hospital due to allergies.

However, mylar balloons are permitted (the silver, shiny balloons).

We ask you avoid bringing in flowers with a strong scent, such as lilies. Scented products can trigger allergic reactions.

Please do not wear scented perfumes, or use scented soaps or lotions when planning to visit the hospital. Many patients and staff members have allergies to perfumes.
