A New Groves Hospital is on it's way!
Groves Memorial Community Hospital (GMCH) is limiting visitors to its Complex Continuing Care (CCC)/Surgical Unit after an influenza outbreak was declared.
Hospital staff are monitoring all patients and staff for illness and have increased infection and prevention control measures to contain the outbreak and protect patients, visitors, volunteers, staff and physicians.
Visitors wishing to come to other areas of the hospital are welcome. However, if you are not feeling well, do not visit the hospital patients. You must be symptom free of illness, for 48 hours, before visiting a hospital patient. Anyone visiting the hospital should wash and sanitize their hands regularly before, during and after a visit. These precautions will help reduce the chance of passing an infection to seriously ill patients. Groves Hospital will continually review the status of the outbreak and keep patients, staff and the public updated.
