Groves Hospital Volunteer Association Needs You!
Currently, we have volunteer positions in the following areas:
First Floor Meal Delivery: We require an individual to assist staff with the delivery of lunches to patients on the 1st floor. Volunteers in this program assist with opening packages, ensuring patients have fresh water and providing social interaction. The time committment for this position is one day per week from approximately 11:30 to 1:00. Training is provided.
Fergus New To You Shop Toy Area Sorter:
We are in need of enthusiastic volunteers to sort and organize toy donations. Knowledge of toys and games would be beneficial. A time committment of 3 hours one day per week would be greatly appreciated.
Arthur New To You Shop Cashiers:
Our Arthur Opportunity shop has cashier volunteer positions availabe. If you are interested in providing excellent customer service and working with a great team one shift per week or every other week, please contact the volunteer office.
Patient Visitor Assistant Volunteers:
Volunteers are needed from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to assist with admitting patient visitors into specific areas after signing in and out. This position requires an individual who is able to respect and maintain confidentiality concerning patient information. As well, being comfortable with informing visitors of the hospitals' policy regarding visitation is essential. Training and orientation is provided.
